I met Chris in the MADICE project at the Norwegian Polar Insitute, Tromso. We went to India together in May 2017 to teach Indian PhD and Postdocs. Chris was a very friendly guy, very smart and with great teaching skills. We will all miss him dearly in the field of glaciology. Rest in peace.
